Ann Arbor Ballet Workshop

The Ann Arbor Workshop is a performing group founded in 1982 by the directors of the Community School of Ballet. The Workshop affords performing opportunities for dancers of classical technique.

The directors stress the creation of chamber ballets, appropriate in scope and number of staff, rather than the restaging of established works that require resources on a scale unavailable to a chamber group.

Auditions are open to participants in the dance community at large, for performances, normally, given twice a year. Rehearsals are at the studio, after classes and on week-ends.
